City of Prosser Wins $50,000!

The “Summer Experiences & Enrichment for Kids” (SEEK) program is for summer outdoor programs serving school-aged youth (K-12 – age 4-21). The purpose of the SEEK Fund is to increase access to quality, outdoor summer programming for youth and communities who have historically been underserved and who have been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is administered by the Washington Recreation & Park Association (WRPA), in collaboration with the Association of Washington Cities (AWC), and made possible by funds provided to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

The City of Prosser's Parks & Recreation Department will be participating in the SEEK Program. The City's program, Project SwimFARE (Free Accessible Recreation for Everyone), will provide swimming lesson scholarships and pool pass vouchers for 200 historically underrepresented youth in the greater Prosser & Paterson area.

Congratulations to the City of Prosser! This $49,896 award will make a big difference in the lives of underserved youth in your community.
